Pursue Your Dreams: Celebrating Women’s Month (Mes de La Mujer) with Telemundo Chicago

I had a full circle career moment last week when Telemundo Chicago broadcast an interview with me about my book, “Become the Fire,” to celebrate Women’s History Month (“Mes de La Mujer”). Their news anchor, the amazing Anabel Monge, a 10-time Emmy-award-winning broadcast journalist, interviewed me about Become the Fire and how women can be brave, inspired and empowered to realize their dreams every day, not just during the month that we recognize and honor women.

This interview was incredibly special to me not only because I got to use my (rusty) Spanish, but also because Telemundo Chicago is where I started my media career. It was while working at the TV station that I was inspired to become a journalist, and the rest is history. Muchas gracias, Telemundo, for giving me my start in the media business, and for allowing me to share my thoughts on empowering and inspiring women to succeed, 30 years later, from the other side of the mic!

This experience was an accomplishment that I am proud of, and a reminder to always pursue your dreams. I hope you’ll watch this fun segment on Telemundo and let me know what you think!
