If you’re looking for ways to keep your kids entertained during these last weeks of summer, 30 Second Mom Elisa All has fast, fun and affordable ideas for moms who don’t have much time to spare!
Mosquito Repellent Bubble Machine:
2/3 cup Dawn dishwashing soap
1 gallon water
2 to 3 tablespoons of glycerine
Squirt Chalk
baking soda
food coloring
3 squirt bottles
Here’s how to make it:
Fill the squirt bottles 2/3 of the way with a baking soda and cornstarch mixture (about 3 tablespoons of each). Add a few drops of food coloring to each bottle, then fill them the rest of the way with water (you want one for red, yellow and blue). Use a small stick/skewer to stir the chalk, and then place the cap on and shake the bottles well. Squirt the bottles on the sidewalk with your kiddos to make cool chalk designs!
Pool Noodle Sail Boats:
pool noodle
scissors
BBQ skewer as mast
craft foam
decorative tape
Here’s how to make it:
1. Use a serrated knife to cut a 10- to 14-inch length of pool noodle. Slice it in half lengthwise to create the hull of your ship.
2. Cut two triangles from craft foam to create sails. Thread the foam sails onto a barbecue-skewer mast and stick into noodle with cut side down.
3. Decorate as desired.
